Omnisutra Hathor

Incantations taken from the Perwer, the inner sanctum of the Hathor temple in Dendera Egypt. This sutra was sung once a year when the Nile river flooded starting a week long festival to the Goddess. This song come directly from the hieroglyphics on the walls where the golden statue of Hathor was kept, which was brought out once a year for the festival, bathed in the inundation water and paraded through the fields, temples and around the region. It included incantations to her epithets as Isis, Sekhmet the lioness Goddess, and Bastet the cat Goddess. Sung in the original language by Gavin Shri Amneon accompanied by Portia Tang, with art to illustrate the lyrics and meaning. Ancient Egypt at its most festive spirit...
